Well the Korean summer has really kicked in over the past week. In fact, a heat wave warning has been issued for many South Korean provinces for the first time this year. Its certainly been hot in Andong and the humidity makes life a little uncomfortable at times. I'm trying to acclimatise to the heat as this weather is what I'll get when Staypuff and I visit Taiwan in three weeks time. It actually got up to 35 C (95F) today but I'm sure thats nothing compared to what nearby Daegu residents have to deal with, as the city is well known as being one of the warmest locations in South Korea.
Now compare Andong's weekly forecast to that below from my hometown Invercargill, New Zealand. Obviously its winter at the moment in New Zealand and these temperature really aren't that bad. But I can tell you that when a cold front comes up from Antarctica its bloody freezing.
So the question I have to ask myself is whether I'd rather be freezing cold in New Zealand or sweating it out here in Andong, Korea. I guess I need to take Chopper Read's advice and "harden he fu%# up!".
